Leaders of change: how can a human rights defender become an influencer?

"Wings of Liberty" Public Foundation together with Free Press for Eastern Europe Public Foundation and financial support from the European Union were launching the "Leaders of Change" project for human rights defenders and activists from Kazakhstan
Within the framework of the project, a series of training courses was held to help participants gain new skills and knowledge about working in social networks, as well as about the international and national legal norms governing it. Graduates of the project were able to apply for mini-grants to launch communication campaigns on social media, as well as receive mentoring support when launching them and developing a fundraising strategy.
to help human rights organizations and initiatives to strengthen their presence on social media and become more recognizable and influential among the general public.

Project goal

During the webinar, we were talk about the following:

  • How to promote Human Rights agenda on social media
  • How international and national legislature regulates social media
  • How this project can help Human Rights defenders become Internet-influencers

The webinar was attended by:

The webinar lasted about an hour, during the webinar prticipants could ask all their questions.
